Why do i get an infection each time after having ?

hi. i've been having with my first for the past 2 months. he's not a virgin what so ever tho. last time i had an infection my doctor gave me apo-metronidazole (medication) which my infection went away. now once again i have the infection again why is that? could he be the one who's giving it to me?
