Should I find a new job?
Before you chuck the job, calm down and do some serious thinking. The last 9 years is history. Not everything in that 9 years was negative although at the moment it obviously feels like it. You feel you were duped. Therefore, if you think you can prove this and that your daughter is indeed entitled to some sort of tuition waiver, don't shout about it but get some sort of private legal advice about how you can go about claiming what you are owed and whether you have a watertight case or not. Do NOT do this while you are still hot and angry because you may need lots of diplomacy to get what you want and shouting the odds at someone isn't going to make them do you any favours. If you cannot get her a waiver then you have to deal with the new situation. If you cannot bear to remain in your present job (again privately) start looking for something new or investigate whether you can transfer to another State job that pays the same or more and perhaps does have this waiver attached. Get the new job and THEN leave the one you've got. Good luck
