I got HSV-1 from with husband and I need some advice and all info I can get!!!?

I would first like to mention that I have been with husband for 20 yrs. and both of us faithful. He has cold sores (HSV-1) and of course we had oral like many times before. The only thing that was different I cut myself shaving on my lip of my l area and he was asymptomatic and he gave it to me. I was given valtrex for 10 days and I completed that. The sores have all healed but I am still very raw and still have pelvic pain. What should I do to help ease this raw burning pain? Should I continue taking valtrex until all symptoms subside? I have done a lot of research but there are still so many questions I still have. I woke up this morning and I think I have a UTI now. Of course this being my first outbreak I have no clue what to expect and how long to expect it. I miss making love to my husband because I am so raw and it hurts so bad. I will just be glad when this goes away. I hope someone with experience can help me some. I will gladly except any advice I can get. Thanks!!
